Hi everyone! My name is Melissa and I'm 35. Just got my BFP on Monday and I'm very excited but nervous at the same time. DH and I have been trying for a year and a half. I have a prolactinoma which is a benign tumor on your pituitary gland that makes your body produce prolactin when you aren't pregnant and basically makes your body think you are pregnant. It keeps you from ovulating so I had to go on medication to regulate it. I have been on meds for a year and at my last gyno visit about a month ago he told me if not preggo by August I would need to see a fertility specialist. Guess I got in just under the wire! LOL.
Due to the problems we had TTC I'm super nervous about all being ok with the pregnancy. Being 35 I know that puts me at greater risk for some things. Do any of you ladies have similar fears? If so what are you worried about the most? If you aren't worried please tell me how you stay so calm? LOL
Thanks and nice to meet you all!
Melissa

Re: New to the group
Congratulations and welcome!
I'm so happy for you!
Welcome! It sure is nerve wracking. Being someone that had a loss before having my daughter I was always worried about everything. I realized all the worry was taking away the joy of being pregnant and I wanted to relish every moment. So when I began to worry I made myself stop. It wasn't going to change a thing. I know its hard but just try to enjoy the ride!
