Major discomfort ?

Ok first off my doctor said no infection of any kind yeast or uti.. But I have this sharp pain lower right back that is hurting sooo bad. Tylenol helps a bit and some heat. However, besides the back pain I have the urge to pee like every minute. I run to bathroom and maybe a drop or two and as soon as I'm done I feel like I have to go again.. Any suggestions from experience or anything? Maybe she is sitting on something? I don't know just sooo much discomfort.

Re: Major discomfort ?

  • Could LO just be putting some pressure on your bladder?  Sometimes I feel like that's the case for me.

  • If I were you, I'd definitely mention it to my doc. Make sure they know you frequently have an urge to pee that doesn't result in much and that you have that pain. I'm no medical pro, but it could be important.

I use to get those all the time pre pregnancy and would swear I had an infection. Turned out to just be terrible dehydration. I would drink like 3 water bottles right away and then 30 minutes later I was actually able to pee and would feel soooo much better. Hope it's that simple for you bc I know it's terribly uncomfortable.

Sounds like a kidney stone to me. I've gotten them since I was 17 and would say that the stone is stuck on the way out of the bladder. That is why you are felling the need to pee so much and not getting anything to come out. Kidney stones are very common in pregnancy. I've actully passed two since i got pregnant. (Granted I know for a fact they were in my kidney before I got pregnant) Only advice I can give you is to drink more fluids than you think humanly possible, the more pressure behind the stone the faster it will more. Also cranberry juice is good for the unary track, and at least to me, it seems to help with the pain.
  • This is around the time where our LOs sit on/near the bladder making us pee all the time.

  • Thank you everyone! I will drink even more water and see where it goes.. I'm already feeling better today. Thanks again! :
  • I had kidney stones with my pregnancies, it's awful, and they can start like that.
