I met mine when I was in kindergarten. I was four years old!!
We have known each other all along, but did not start to date until after high school.
We met our freshman year of HS in Spanish class. I used to copy all of his answers (he's fluent, so he took the class as an "easy A"). We were friends for about a year before we became best friends for three, then started dating a few months after we graduated HS.
We did go to prom together though because my XBF was a DB and "too old" to go to prom (he was a year older....).
SCANDAL!
We saw each other my college Halloween party, his friend went to the same college I did.
Same as this! We went to the same church in high school and a lot of my friends' younger siblings were his friends. We met when I was out of college and he had a year left.
Our 2 friends were dating. I asked DH's friend if he had a friend he could bring to the next party at my friend's house. He brought DH.
Honestly? I don't remember meeting him. I was too drunk. We messed around in a baseball field. A BASEBALL FIELD. I couldn't even remember what he looked like.
He called me the next morning at 10AM. I was in church, sitting next to my father.
He took my out 3 days later for dinner and we were together ever since. Married in under a year.
How he met me was COMPLETELY out of character. Oh well, it worked!

CLeigh, this is too funny!
As for us, we were high school sweethearts. Met at one of our first jobs at an ice skating rink, I was a figure skater and he played hockey, turns out his locker was down the hall from mine and I never even realized it. We were friends for about a year until we started dating. It will be 10 years this November, married for 2 in September.
I was dating one of his best friends. So I'd met him a few times but then we all moved out west together to get jobs (we're from ontario). We were all roommates and my bf was gone a lot so DH and I spent a lot of time getting to know each other but just as friends, like best friends.
Eventually things went down hill with my bf and I got my own place, DH had also moved into another apartment with another mutual friend. A couple months after I'd broken up with his friend we still hung out, after a drunken night we realized how we felt about each other and got together. A lot of crap went down and people were so angry with us. But love is love. We were meant to be.
We've since gotten married, moved back to Ontario to be close to family and have a daughter. We're so happy together and I'm so glad things worked out the way they did.
