I think we've finally decided on a girl name. Now can't decide how to spell it! My name is Traci. My daughter is Kylee. And my sister is Baylee. That being said, is an ending of "i" or "ee" a better fit? Jaycee Lynn or Jaci Lynn?
I have a cousin on my husband's side who has a daughter and they wrote it Jaycee. I think it would be cute being that her sister has the double ee, a cute sibset spelling!
I don't really like the spelling Jaycee... but I guess I'll say I could see how you would and others would like it best because it "matches" Kylee, with the "ee" ending.
I grew up with a Jacey. So if I hear that name for a girl, that's the spelling I envision.
I would not pronounce Jaci and Jaycee the same way. Jaci looks like Jackie to me.
This! To me Jaci is pronounced "Jack-y". I like Jaycee. As some others have said I do think it is a little nick-namey, but I still think it would be respectable on a grown woman applying for a job.
Since this name came from the initials, J.C. What about giving her a J first and a C middle, then calling her JC although now that I think about it, it sounds like you're calling her Jesus Christ. Or Jacey which seems to be a more familiar spelling, and it might help avoid pronunciation confusion.
Re: Jaycee or Jaci?
I vote for the correct spelling...Jaci.
Although it's really a nickname for Jacqueline, which I like a million times better.
Welcome to the bump, btw.

Yes, I know a girl named just Jaci & I absolutely hate it & soon found to hate her as she always acted like a 6 year old.
Jaycee sounds like Jay Cee with the emphasis on the first syllable.
Jaci sounds like Traci with the emphasis on the second syllable.
Which are you going for?

Agree. Neither is a name I can see on an adult. Both spellings look cutesy.
