never engorged?

I think I might be having a supply issue. I pretty much never get engorged like I did with ny son. Last night DD slept 7 hours and I barely felt full. I have also pumped a few nights so DH could give her a bottle and got an ounce out of one and a few drips out of the other. This is after some afternoon snacking tho.

Any thoughts? Anyone else never get engorged?

    I never got engorged up until he was 12 weeks and I tried formula for 3 days to see if he was bothered by my breastmilk. I couldn't keep up with pumping. Now that we're back to breastfeeding I still never get engorged. He seems to be satisfied as well.


    I always thought there was something wrong since I was never engorged but someone said that that can mean that you're actually regulated.

    I think if your LO seems satisfied after feedings, has lots of wet diapers, etc., then your supply is probably fine. I wouldn't worry about engorgement as a sign of having lots of milk. I've also heard that engorgement goes away somewhat when your supply regulates.

    I don't really get engorged with DD either. I think it's different every time for every mom. I pumped more often to get my supply up to where I can pump 5 oz out in the morning and 4-5 at night.

    Try pumping in the morning, since it is the time you are most likely to get the most out.
