Happy Friday ladies. Are any of you (or YHs) having an extended long weekend and have today off?
A warm welcome and congrats to the new mamas. GL to those TTCing, esp imoverit, FX for a good beta today!
T&Ps to those who need it. Sending extra hugs to TJ.
What are your plans for today/this weekend? Are you experiencing a heat wave where you are? How do you stay cool with your LO? What are some cool, indoor activities you do with your LO?

We are expecting maybe rain this weekend, hopefully not.
To stay cool we snuggle in our basement. Also use the jolly jumper.

DH is off with DD today, while I'm stuck in the office. Booo! 3 hours until I get to go home
We are having a BBQ at our house tomorrow with some friends, which should be really fun.
On weekend days when it's really hot outside, I've taken DD to the fountain at the outdoor mall, for her to run and play in. They have a similar fountain that the daycare takes them to every couple weeks and we found out she loves it, so it gave us something else fun to do. She also has a water table at home that we play with in the shade. For indoor activities, we color and read together, or play with any number of different toys.

DH has Fridays off so he's getting an extended long weekend. No such luck with me. We're just hoping they let us leave early today!
Plans for this weekend...we're hoping to go to Nashville tomorrow to shop and spend the day with LO. We've planned this three times now but something else always comes up. I'm excited to go but it also makes me nervous in case she gets really fussy and won't sleep. Hopefully it'll work out well though!
The ILs are coming tomorrow. My MIL called DH earlier this week and asked if she could come down, even though I haven't had a weekend with just DH and H in a very long time. I can't stand either of my ILs (FIL does stupid things with babies and MIL is just whiny/overbearing) so I'm not looking forward to this at all.
We are actually experiencing a slight cool down (90s instead of 100s) right now. To stay cool, we limit outside activities to early morning and very late evening, but even then it's still in the 90s usually. We spend our time inside and H stays in a diaper and doesn't really notice any heat. I want to get an inflatable pool to put on our back porch and start introducing it to H. Maybe we'll do that Sunday when the ILs aren't here.

It's hot as Hades here, and it'll stay this way the entire weekend! (HOT = 90F+ for us Bostonians; I know, we're wimps compared to folks who live in the South.)
DH has to work today, and he has a presentation on Monday, so really no plans for us at all. Maybe we'll go out to lunch either tomorrow or Sunday. I'm also getting a haircut tomorrow.
I took M with me on a bunch of errands this afternoon; it was so hot that I felt like melting.
M gets bored easily in the house when it's just him and me, so I usually take him to a nearby baby/toddler place where they have Open Play. We have a summer pass and M gets to play with "new" toys.

Tomorrow is DS' second birthday. We are having people over for a BBQ! Can't believe my baby is 2!! Time flies.
We have been having a heat wave but it has significantly cooled down today. We usually go swimming or run through the sprinklers to keep cool.
We got DS a water table for his bday so he'll be able to play with that in the future.

i was off today and DH just did a little work from home....
this weekend, apparently we are having friends over tomorrow night, that's what DH just told me. I'm not thrilled. I can't drink much since I am BFing....and if LO is super fussy then it's going to be a disaster.....but I'm thrilled that it'll light a fire under DH to get all of the stuff done around the house that I've been nagging him about for a while now
sunday were going to my moms for ribs.
i used to love the heat, but this summer not so much. Rather challenging with a DD who can't wear sunblock.....we've been spending a lot of time inside in the air conditioning which is slightly sad since I love the summer!

We have been back in our house just under a week. We are still sorting out everything. Yesterday we had friends over who we hadn't seen since J was born. It was extra special since the wife of the couple was my REs assistant and the semen specialist. So she helped get J started! Ironically, we were already friends prior to our IF journey.
We had a temp dip today, but it is hide.in.the.house.hot. We did dash across the street to our neighbors for a beer this evening, so that was fun.
