I'm about to enter my first 2ww since DS was born. and I am dreading it. I almost forgot how awful they are...I remember I used to go insane and climb the walls with wondering and symptoms and just well, waiting.
We are trying "naturally". My husbands sperm count is low but obviously doable. I put him on count boost and Fertiliad... And all my plumbing checks out, it's just hard when you feel like Am I doing everything I can?
And the stuff that I am doing is borderline crazy.
So far I'm taking the Fertilaid for women from CD O then I stop
I'm keeping my feet warm google that one I found it interesting If you're into Chinese medicine.
I'm using softcups for 6 bucks why not?
I'm using preseed
AND I'm using the clearblue digital ovulation sticks. Pricey, but love them!
And then for further torture I'm racking my brain to try and figure out what we did that made us successful with DS. I don't know honestly, I wasn't using OPKs or ANYTHING. nothing. zilch.
So what do you guys do during the 2ww?
also when you test do u watch them "develop" or leave and come back?
Any weird ttc rituals / wives tales you partake in?

Re: almost 2ww
Ugh, the dreaded 2ww. It is maddening for sure. I find that I am completely calm and fine until about 10dpo. Then, even though I swore I would be relaxed, I am in a tizzy to test and overanalyze every symptom!
I usually watch hpts the first few seconds, and then walk away and come back after a couple of minutes. It's agonizing either way.
I bought a ring from a voodoo shop in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago, and it's supposed to help with fertility. I've been wearing it ever since. Can't hurt!

hey fertility rings can't hurt.
Yeah I remember in the past basically coming up with 14 days worth of distractions... Work, movies, books, home improvements, crafting and all kinds of crazy schemes to pass the time. it just DRAGS for me.

I usually start to watch the test develop and then walk away for a couple of minutes. Then I probably spend 5 minutes analysing the test under different lights, as if that will magically turn it positive, lol!

It's triplets!!
The dreaded 2ww!! I honestly didn't realize how obsessive I could be until I entered the 2ww. I try to distract myself in every way and ultimately end up googling every pregnancy symptom, positive ttc story, etc. For me, there's really no way to distract myself, except maybe trying to read something non-ttc related (a nice fiction book) to keep myself occupied. I've found a few books to be pretty engaging where I live in THAT world instead of my own for a while. {nerd alert}
If you're into eastern medicine, another good one is to eat warm. My acupuncturist says that the reproductive area is in the "bread basket" of the body and drinking/eating cold takes too much energy and cools the system down.
I get what you're saying about trying to figure out how ttc #1 was so easy. My DD was literally conceived the first month of trying. 1st month! How does that happen??
Good luck to you!! I hope the 2 weeks fly by!

I just finished the book "Making Babies" it combines western and eastern medicine and got rave reviews on amazon.
they have a website that sorta contains the cliff notes version of what the book says but I found the information very surprising
Anyhoo, one of the suggestions was to "eat warm" and to keep warm. I'm always cold, in fact it is an ongoing joke between my husband and I...so I'm going to start incorporating more soups and tea
and I love to read, so hopefully a some junk fiction and my wild son will keep me distracted :

Making Babies was good...I think it was the first one I read when I was determined to conceive naturally. The Eastern medicine concepts are pretty interesting but they make sense to me. I didn't get pregnant following the ideas, but my levels evened out so that has to be worth something.
I'm always cold, too, how funny! Yes, junk fiction is the way to go! I just finished reading Gone Girl, which isn't really junk, but was really addicting. If you read it, I have to warn you, it's pretty messed up!
Good luck to you!!

We walked by Cafe du Monde, and it looked crowded so we ended up eating dinner elsewhere, and then at Cafe Beignet on Bournbon Street for breakfast the next morning. They had pretty good beignets there!
