Finally, I get to join a birth club : After 6 years of trying on our own and failed fertility treatments, were pregnant naturally! I'm 13 weeks, 5 days and ecstatic :
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
We're in the same club. Although, this is my 2nd pregnancy. My first was a result of IVF and this is a natural unplanned one. Congrats!
Congrats to you as well! I'm due January 5th. IVF was going to be our next step, but unfortunately, insurance in TN doesn't cover any type of infertility treatments so we decided to give it a rest for a while. Then, bam, pregnant naturally!
Me: 37 DH: 37 TTC since Jan 2012. RE consult and initial testing done in Aug 2012: SA fine, AMH 1.1 & HSG clear - on way to IUI but got BFP on 9/10/2012. m/c 10/3/2012 at 6w5d. That's how it happens! DH and I tried for 2 1/2 years and went through infertility testing. Before we did the surgery that we needed we decided to wait a year and got pregnant naturally with our first the following month. Like 2 weeks later. We are now pregnant naturally with our 3rd. Congrats to you I know how exciting the first one is when you've been trying for so long.
I have a very similar story. We have several failed IVF and IUI attempts that were all unsuccessful. People used to upset me when they told me to quit trying to hard, and that it would happen in God's time. Well, they were right. After 5 years, we gave up and forgot about trying. Woke up feeling strange one day, and realized that I have not had a menstrual cycle in a while. Took a test (and several more LOL) and discovered we are expecting. I have a 17 year old adopted daughter, and will have a newborn in January!
Congratulations!! That's all I ever heard was that it will happen on Gods time. As bad as it irritated me to hear that from women who had 2 and 3 children fast and easy lol I'm definitely a believer in that now!
