Sore low abdomen?

in 12 Weeks Pregnant
I am twelve weeks pregnant and just started to become very tender to the touch on my lower abdomen, just above my pelvic bone. It also hurts in the same area when I laugh. Is this normal?

    You just started consider yourself lucky.  I started a few weeks ago and it is not a happy feeling at all.  I have mentioned it to my OB and he did not say much just if it gets worst to let him know.

    I'm the same im 12 weeks pregnant and been getting them for about a month now and even when I go to stand I get half way of standing and Im in pain but the doctors haven't done enything and just say it should pass I thourt I was the only one until I read this :

    Me too!!!  I believe (but don't quote me on it) it's called round ligament pain.  Totally normal.  Mine is typically if I laugh hard, cough or sneeze.  Very sharp pain that only lasts a second or two.

    I'm also12 weeks . My bottom of my back is starting to hurt, but the pain goes away. When your lower abdomen hurts drink some water. I found out it helps alot.

    definitely feel like I'm being stabbed in the lower abdomen when I sneeze.... pretty well lands me on my bottom!!!  Glad I'm not the only one... I was getting nervous!!!

    i have been getting these sharp pains and i asked my ob about it .  he told me it was the ligaments stretching .

    It's funny that I saw this right now, because I have been experiencing the same thing. I was lying flat on my back on my bed and laughed, and all of a sudden I felt this horrible sharp pain on my lower abdomen. Whenever my husband tries to feel my tummy, it's also very painful. Good thing I'm not the only one!
