So today was all our animals yearly vaccines and check ups. Our vet and his assistant were here for 6 hours today getting through everyone. You don't even want to know what our bill was, yikes.
Anyway our Scottish terrier has had a couple blood tests recently as her liver enzyme levels have skyrocketed. He did an ultrasound on her today and there is something not looking right with her gallbladder and there is some sort of mass on her liver. She is now being fasted until tomorrow so they can run some more tests and she has to have a bunch of Xrays tomorrow too. Ugh
Then my friend who lives with us, had her dog looked at too as she has broken out in a terrible rash a couple days ago. He thinks it is some sort of allergic reaction but he also took blood for a test. He also found that her heart murmur has gotten much louder since last year and is now considered a possible serious issue.
He took both dogs home with him tonight so they can do the Xrays and tests tomorrow.
We are sad and worried and hoping that my dog doesn't have a tumor and that my friends dog doesn't have something serious going on with her heart like heartworm.
It's been quite the day...
Re: Poor dogs....
Poor pups! No one likes a vet day. I hope you get good news soon.
Can I ask how many dogs you own?
"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be."
We have 3 dogs and our friend has one. But a lot of our other animals had their check ups and shots today too, which is what took so long. The ferrets, pig, coati, a lizard, etc
