So, I've read, read, and read that at this point, our kids will start showing signs of transitioning to one nap, but they're really not ready, and we should hold off until at least 15 months because the transition will be easier.
Well, tell that to my 11 month old who has straight out refused a second nap for the third day now. We're at the max WT of 4 hours. He's taking an awesome two hour morning nap, without as much as an second of crying, and then the afternoon nap...forget it.
My conclusion - he's ready. He transitioned to two naps way before every one else at 6 months and did great, so it makes sense that he'd transition early this go around too.
I'm over this whole hour long protest of the second nap thing.

Re: We're ready.
FWIW, DD dropped her second nap at 14 months and that transition was HELLL. So much for it being "easier when they're older". Each kid is different so Gio may just surprise you and do the one nap without a problem!
I'm so looking forward to the one nap. It's SO nice to have an extra bit of free time when you're not stuck at home.

Ds also switched to 2 naps at 6 months old, but he shows no signs of dropping a nap [Thank God]. He's still on the 2 3 4 schedule.
Ok, it's of course totally possible but there IS a wonder week that is hitting our babies now - B has been refusing 2 naps, really only taking 1 (kind of). I know it's a phase though and in a week or so we will be back to normal.
Again, every baby is different for sure - but it's RARE to go down to one nap so soon.
