After having two early miscarriages, I know this is a possibility, but frankly, I'm really looking for a little hope!
Yesterday I took two first response tests FMU and got 2 very faint, squinter lines as result. So I scheduled a blood test and went in yesterday.
This morning I took a test and got a readable pink line that my husband confirmed and even shows up in photographs. We were out of the "squinter" category. Then, I called the afterhours nurse to confirm with the test from yesterday and they tell me the blood test is negative. Negative? It just didn't seem right after testing positive this morning and the line is getting darker. Today I would be 4 weeks.
Is it just too early? I've read a few stories of women having similar results that end up pregnant. I just don't know what to believe. Hopefully they can get me back in tomorrow for an appointment or something, but it's hard when it's a holiday to figure that out.
Any amazing, encouraging stories out there? I would LOVE to hear them. I know full well how this can turn out sad, I want to hear the positive possibilities!
Re: Positive HPT, Neg Blood test? UPDATE
I got a bfp once where I saw a line but my beta was 4. That is below the qualitive cut off, so if it had been a qualitive test, it would have shown negative.
Hope that helps!

January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
I'm currently 29 weeks, so that first test can bite me!
Good luck.
The Dr confirmed a couple days ago with a second blood test... Pregnant! I took an additional blood test today to make sure my levels are continuing to rise, so I should be finding out today still or in the morning. I keep trying to remind myself of all the things that are positive signs and different from the miscarriages. It's tough though! Like, my boobs are less sore than two days ago... so I'm always touching them to evaluate their "soreness". Afraid "less sore" isn't as good as "more sore"... Oh the head games!
