Lightweight Strollers

Can you recommend your lightweight stroller? I'm flying in a few months with my toddler and need something compact enough for flying but sturdy and roomy enough for the actual vacation (sightseeing). The one we currently have is huge and bulky and not convenient for travel. Plus, now that she's older and I don't carry as much stuff with her I'm looking to downsize! Thanks!

  • I second the Chicco Liteway stroller. We love ours and use it often to travel with!

  • My friend has a 50 dollar jeep stroller from Walmart and its awesome, I wan rot get one but can't justify it right now. It's lightweight, can be folded with one hand and had storage underneath. It doesn't have a steering wheel like most I the jeep models but its the perfect mix of regular stroller and umbrella.

We have a City Mini that I keep in the car and use when we are out and about.  I love it and you can fold it with one hand.  Nolan hates the stroller, so I find that I use the Ergo a lot more.
  • I have the first years jet stroller. It has a sunshade, parent tray, and small basket. We really love it for the price, it was $40 on amazon.

  • We did a ton of research after we stopped using the snap and go. We finally decided on the Joovy Groove. I highly recommend it! Its light weight, not bulky and has a ton of great features. It is a little on the pricey side but I feel its totally worth the money! DS is bigger 31 lbs and 36 inches at 16 months and still has plenty of room to grow in it! We have the BOB too for a running stroller.
  • We love our Chico echo. 79 bucks from target and free shipping!
  • We have the City Mini as our regular, every day stroller, and we love to use it for travelling.  It folds with one hand.  When we push it through the airport, H can put the carseat inside of it, with his backpack sitting in the carseat, while I have Lucia in the Ergo.

  • Another vote for the Chicco Liteway. IT has everything my Britax B-Agile has but it much smaller.

I also saw that Britax has a small umbrella stroller too that looks similar to the Liteway or to a MacClaren.

  • We love our Combi Cosmo. Not only is it lightweight, but it folds very compact and has a shoulder strap for easy carry.

  • We have the Britax b-Nimble umbrella and have been happy.  I would have looked at the Chico Liteway but we got the Britax for $70 and that was hard to beat.

  • Add us to the Chicco Liteway group :) We're taking it to Italy with us later this month, so I'll know better how it travels after that. I love it!
