My UO although I am not sure its really unpopular is people that still leave their young children and pets in the car... for any period of time ... It enrages me.
If the government really is spying on me, I don't care. It's not like they are going to find anything terroristy. In fact, they would probably find me quite boring. The stuff I do put on Facebook/Instagram is only stuff I would want public anyway. I honestly don't see the big deal.
I feel like people who chose not to vaccinate their children are incredibly selfish. If you don't want to vaccinate your kid, fine. But keep them in a bubble. You are unnecessarily putting other people at risk because of your choice.
Case in point, a woman on my softball team has not vaccinated any of her kids. Now, the entire family (mom, dad, DS who is 4, DS who is 2, and DD who is 3 mos.) have whooping cough. They've been to several games and they are playing all over other kids and people. I don't want to be at risk because you didn't want to vaccinate...

I hate toe rings. I think they are so god damn creepy. nbsp;I also think anklets are stupid.
I love that yours are always fashion related!
Mine: Pediasure commercials drive me nuts. Unless your kid has a disability you should not be relying on Pediasure for their nutrition. It is your responsibility to broaden their palate and get them interested in eating veggies.
haha I know. And i'm no fashion diva really. Pretty plain jane.

I totes leave mine in the car when I forget my car keys and have to run back inside ;-)

Amen sister! My cousin was starting to talk about not vaccinating her son, who is four mos old, but has no information or research to back her own opinion. It's ridiculously ignorant.

Agreed.
Me too! Have a blast looking at my kid and pet pics USA.
I dislike when men overly groom themselves. Hair product, eyebrow waxing unless removing unibrow, shaving legs, arms, chest etc. I don't mind a little tidying.
I think the fireworks tonight are going to startle my baby. They are lit off all up and down the beach, so I will be literally right next to them. My opinion is so unpopular that I have been shamed into going even though I don't really want to.
I know part of the problem is that I'm usually early to things, but I hate it when people are late to something. It wouldn't bother me so much except for when everyone is late. If a party starts at 5, no one shows up till 6. That sort of thing. It really irks me.
I hate when other people try and shove their opinions/beliefs down mine or anyone else's throats. I don't mind being informed, but I am an adult and will make my own decisions on my life and for my LO when born. I like a healthy debate, even when we don't agree, but I automatically think less of someone when they feel the need to resort to name calling and belittling. I *don't* have to conform to your belief system, no matter how much evidence you bring to the discussion and that does not make me ignorant or a bad parent-to-be.
I think majority of those fancy and ungodly expensive strollers are so fugly. I don't care how great they handle, they are eye sores and should not cost as much as they do. Whatever that double stroller is where one kid sits under the other is my biggest fugly complaint.
1. Pediasure thing---one of my very good friend's daughters is super skinny. The mom is a great cook and the kid loves food, but she just doesn't really gain weight so they give her pediasure. So, it's not always a bad parenting thing...
2. Scolding other people's kids--I TOTALLY agree that it's ok to scold other people's kids. As long as you don't take it to the next level and go ape shhitt on the kid, I'm all for it. If DD isn't behaving, I'm ok with other people telling her she can't do that or whatever. IMO too many parents don't pay any attention to their kids and the kids are wild and out of control. My nieces and newphews are rude rude rude--they burp at the table, push, splash in the pool, grab toys from DD and their parents don't say a freakin word. You better believe DH and I do.

I think people who spend that much on a stroller are idiots!
Seriously. Nothing people say can ever make me think spending that much on a stroller is "worth it".
I think when circ debates come up on TB everyone gets way to bent out of shape over it. Yes I am cutting my kids foreskin....and no..I really have no f'ing need to tell you why or my reasoning behind it. If you choose not to cut your kids foreskin off....cool. I don't care.
Thank you. No one cares about your kids penis but you. Can we STFU about circumcisions now, people.
I hate it when people call you close minded for not agreeing with whatever their opinion is. You can be talking about anything from if the sky is blue, to abortion rights either side of an argument. Unless you agree with them, they say you are backwards/intolerant/whatever word you want to insert. Yes, I have my own opinions. So what if we disagree? That's the whole point of opinions! I don't tell you how to think. Just say, "oh really? Why do you feel that way?" And maybe we can have a grown up conversation about both sides of the fence, and actually learn something new from each other. Maybe one of us will persuade the other, maybe we agree to disagree. But to automatically state that someone is insert choice word here is like the pot calling the kettle black IMO. I am happy that you have your own opinion. If we all believed the same, the world might be more peaceful, but very robotic/boring.

Welcome to TB. Every Thursday we have Unpopular Opinions. They frequently spark debates. It's up to you to chose to participate or not but your rant about us being "close minded" because we state our opinion, which is what this thread is all about, because we have differing opinions isn't going to change anything.

Unless your UO is you don't like debates... ?
I am so sorry. I realize after rereading my post that it didn't come across the way I expected. My unpopular opinion is that I dislike people who refuse to debate, and go straight to "You are wrong. I am right. You are close minded for not agreeing with me." I actually love the debate process. I love hearing what other people think and like to issue my own two cents. I just wish that people would be more open to the fact that everyone has an opinion, whether it matches yours or not.
Does that make a little more sense?
Thank you for clarifying.
I saw your post count and read your OP as "this post is stupid".

Weren't their vaccinations supposed to protect them from whooping cough? What is the point of getting vaccinated if they don't work?
I think that pageant moms push their children into the pageants to fulfill their own dreams of winning a crown. Half the kids you see on toddlers in tiaras don't want to be there and are being pushed into performing when they would rather be sleeping. Then the moms legitimately get upset at their kids when they loose. It is gross.

it doesn't protect those that they may come in contact with that have not yet been vaccinated and have compromised immune systems, such as young infants. It is irresponsible of this family not to vaccinate and and even worse that they are infected and have possibly infected others. Vaccinations do work.

Pageants are weird; although, some do give you a cash reward or scholarship money for college, they are still fake and weird.
Toddlers and Tiaras should be banned! When I see those ads, I cringe. They are teaching these little girls to be entitled, little brats.
This is how they will react to anything or anyone that does not agree with them.
I totally judge people when they say they need a new car, house, etc. for the baby. 90 percent of the time they don't and it irritates me. Just own it and say what is really going on, you want a new car, house, etc. Your life will possibly be easier. But don't blame something that weighs around eight pounds and really only wants to eat, sleep, and have a clean diaper.
Water wings irk the ish out of me. Get your kid some swim lessons and if you have a need to use a flotation device, use one that doesn't hinder the learning-to-swim process.
That is one of my biggest PP. I hate those damn water wings bs things.
Bison (FCS) beats Big 12 Champs Kansas St (24-21)!!!
I don't like when parents name their sons the same name as the father, meaning as a junior or a second. I think kids should have their own unique name in the family, and not be called "little Johnny" or "junior" or whatever name they choose to differentiate the two.

Mia is right that part of our responsibility in vaccinating our healthy children is to protect children and adults with compromised immune systems who cannot be vaccinated.
I want to also clarify, though, that vaccines don't have a 100 success rate, so you can, for example, have the whooping cough vaccine and still get whooping cough. The way that vaccines work most effectively is if everyone who is healthy enough to be vaccinated does indeed get vaccinated. As a higher percentage of the population begins to choose not to vaccinate we're seeing more outbreaks of previously eradicated diseases. This can happen especially in pockets of the country where people tend to not vaccinate ironically, wealthy areas of LA, the Bay Area, NJ, to name a few. These areas have seen a resurgence of measles, mumps, whooping cough. Some of the people who've gotten sick were vaccinated. They no longer had the "herd protection" to keep the incidence of the disease away from their community. IMO, it's our duty as responsible citizens to get recommended vaccinations for ourselves and our children.
And for my real UO because I don't actually think that "you should vaccinate your kid" is all that unpopular around here
I really hate home fireworks. They start going off weeks before the 4th of July and continue for weeks after. I don't want to be a party pooper but I do enjoy my sleep. Plus, with how dry it is here, fireworks are a huge fire danger. Not into it.
I find those "the bible is my law book!" Pics and quotes on Facebook ill informed at best. And especially when posted by a woman who has not covered or shaved her hair. Or a father who would rather see his daughter educated after puberty rather than married off.
Go read and study the bible and then you tell me if you actually want that as your "law book."

Yes! We are getting a new car because it makes MY life easier not because the baby needs it. The baby doesn't care.
