No tv/ no Internet / no phone

Last night we had a storm and the wind knocked our power out and took out our phone line. Our phone is connected to Internet and tv so after a 45 minute wait they say they will go it Friday! I'm not impressed ! At least I have my cell phone and power... Oh and I have four kids on maternity leave and summer vacation. Fun fun! When is summer Over blah

    . It's telus! What can I say!!!! It just makes me mad that I don't even have a time Friday! Oh and try said they will give me a 15 minute heads up before they come! With my luck the kidlets will be in swim class and I won't be able to leave. Insert annoyed face

    WTF. I would be livid about the no appointment thing. How can a company even run that way? I'm sorry you're stuck with no tv and Internet. The kids on summer break with no tv is torture. Ugh.

    We had this when Sandy came through, but no power either.  Honestly, the first day or so was rough.  But then it got to be refreshing to not have all that stuff.  Every once in a while I unplug on my own doing.  It is so nice!

    My sympathies! This happened to us last summer when we lost everything for three days. I lost my mind the second day, being so pregnant and it being the hottest summer on record.

    I ended up pitching a tent in the backyard and we camped. Grilled all perishable food, borrowed a fire pit from a neighbor for smores. It ended up being really fun for the kids.
