Sorry if this has been posted recently but I just need to vent! We have fireworks going off in our subdivision ALL around us. We wake up in the morning and there is crap all over our yard. The neighbors set them off and the wind blows them right over our house! DS, who got his 12 month shots yesterday (3 vaccines and a blood draw poke, my poor buddy!) was soundly sleeping and woke up already once from them. I can change his diaper while he's asleep and he doesn't wake up, if that tells you how freaking loud they are! They're the big "used-to-be-illegal" kind too. I hope this stops soon...it sounds like World War III out there! Anyone else dealing with this?

Re: OMG fireworks!
I would write a kind letter to your neighbors and distribute it to them by way of hanging it on their front door knobs. Say "Thank you for shooting off your fireworks late last night and waking my toddler up multiple times. Thank you, also, for trashing my yard. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to come pick up all the debris from your fireworks, otherwise you may be finding my son's dirty diapers littering YOUR yard. Sincerely, X"
We dealt with that last year. The neighbors were so disrespectful about it, shooting them off as close to our kids' bedroom windows as they could get. The years before the neighbor kids actually came to our door and asked if it would be alright if they shot off fireworks because they knew we had a baby in the house, they shot them off as far from the bedroom windows as possible, and they all got together in the morning again and picked up all the garbage in everyone's yard. Then we had new people move in and it was like WWIII outside our house and they kept at it until well after midnight. DH was pissed and even more so when the garbage was still in our yard the next afternoon so he picked it all up and threw it in their yard and I know he wasn't the only one to do it.
