  How old is she?  I don't like slings.  I only use it for a hip hold when they are older.  I would do this instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHcz28xRYOI

  No, you have it right. It's the kangaroo hold, I do it with my hotslings pouch sling a fair bit. I think its okay to have the foot up a bit (the legs are supposed to be crossed and feet inside). My LO has started sticking her foot out over the edge, so I was told to take her out when she does that and use a hip carry instead.

  Someone just posted this exact same hold on my babywearing group on fb! The experts there told her it was correct, but other carriers were preferred.   They called it a lotus hold and said they outgrow it quickly.  I had to look to see if you were the same person!
