Mrs.AshAsh:
Im not sure if Magee accepts Highmark or not but that is who my insurance is through. I will be delivering at Mercy but both are part of the UPMC system. I live in the South Hills area and go to Greater Pittsburgh OBGYN. What area are you from? Oh and to answer, Im offically due Oct 2 but my OB wont let me go past 38 weeks so around Sept 18 or so if I make it that far. Happy to share a twin pregnancy with another local bumpie. Greater Pittsburgh OBGYN is the other practice on my radar! They were highly recommended to me by the midwife center. Right now we live near Squirrel Hill but we'll be moving north of the city in a month or two--not sure exactly where yet. I think the only reservation I had about Greater Pgh OBGYN was that they didn't seem to have any locations readily accessible to where we'll be living (all about 30 minutes away). I drove a lot for appointments last pregnancy and was hoping to avoid it with this one. :-/ Do you really like them?
Re: TobieRose
Thank you!! I really appreciate the feedback.
I ended up scheduling an appointment at Magee in the end ... mostly because Magee is less than ten minutes away from us (for now) and because I have the option to use the midwives there in conjunction with the OB practice. (Although now that I type that out I realize I kind of need get on top of that if it's what I'm going to do ...) I still go back and forth about whether or not it was the right decision but I guess unless I have a really bad experience there I'll stick with them.
How are you doing? Hope the twins are treating you nicely.
