Anyone in Des Moines Iowa area?

Hi ladies

 

Just curious if anyone was in the Des Moines, Iowa area.... I am in search of an OBGYN that is supportive of natural labor/delivery...  I had my heart set on the midwife that does out of hospital/birth center births but our insurance has no coverage for out of network and we don't think we're going to be able to pay the 6,000 by the end of December... so I'm in search of other providers.  I would love suggestions and hear experiences!

    I'm in the Ames area, so no suggestions on a doc for you in DSM. Just wanted to wish you luck on finding one!

    if your interested in a midwife but still in a hospital setting- Lori Steinmann is a midwife that practices through Mercy and then their is also a group of midwives that delivers at Methodist.

    The group I see is amazing and very natural birth friendly. Women's Health Services has several offices in the metro (I highly recommend the Clive office though). My favorite doctors there are Dr Hansen and Dr Johnson.
