My daughter has a small Taggies blanket that she loves to snuggle with. Sometimes we allow her to have it in the crib to help her fall asleep if we're there to supervise and then we take it out once she's asleep. We've also done the same thing if she wakes early in the morning and is having a hard time settling herself back down. I would love to be able to leave it in there with her overnight since it's such a comfort to her and would help her go back to sleep without us having to go in there, but I also don't want to do anything unsafe.
Is anyone else giving their babies small cuddle blankets like this yet? At what point would it be relatively safe to do so? At 5 months she's able to roll tummy to back (inconsistently) and can easily push up while she's on her tummy.

Re: Blanket in crib?
I wonder the same thing! My 4 month old had a fever and was unwell yesterday. At night she was having trouble going back to sleep. I gave her one of her mini blankets with the animal heads. She rubbed in to her cheek, purrrrr'd and passed out.
Not sure if I'll keep giving it to her but it definitely made her feel better while sick!

Same here. I'm a crazy Mom and not ashamed to say it!
Same here. It does not worry me.

Same here. DD is still in a bassinet in our room though if that makes any difference.
