I'm looking for a comfortable carrier for back carrying my 7 month old. I have a sleepy wrap and a ring sling which have worked great for me in the front and side carries. Now though, as she gets heavier and is getting super wiggly and grabby, I would like to carry her more on my back. I just attempted to wrap her using the sleepy wrap on my back following a you-tube video as I am not accustomed to it... oh my gosh my poor back is not happy. Plus, the stretchy fabric I know is probably not safe for that position. What back carriers have you used that are EASY to get on and comfortable to wear? She's about 20 lbs and I am a 38E. Any suggestions are appreciated!

It is very safe. I tie the bottom part around my back and then slide the child from my hip to my back. I then pull up one strap and then the other. It does take practice, but she'll end up feeling very snug and secure. It will probably feel more secure than the ring sling. Oh and I am an h cup, the MT straps go around my shoulders like a back backpack, not interference with my chest.

Yeah, I have gathered that the Sleepy Wrap is not good for back carrying. Honestly up until now I have been perfectly happy wearing her in it. I can get her nice and snug in it. The only problem is that she is so long, she gets in my way more in a front carry. She does start to get too heavy in it after about an hour or so. This is why I've been side-carrying her more in the ring sling lately. I'm really interested in back carrying to ease all of my wearing woes with her growing size. I'm thinking this mei tai may be the way to go for us on that end.
