For those that have ordered through inhousepharmacy.biz - which one did you order?
I see that they have 3 different options, all are versions of Domperidone 10 mg, but the prices are pretty different. Did you order the Motilium, Domperone 10, or Vomistop? Have you noticed that one works better than the other if you've tried different versions? I'd like to just order the cheapest generic, but would rather have one that others have had success with.
My OB prescribed Reglan but I don't trust the potential side effects and wanted to try Domperidone instead.
TIA!
Re: Another Domperidone question
I ordered this but then got too scared to take it without understanding potential risks to LO. Did your LC feel confident it wouldn't hurt baby? I'm too scared to ask the ped because I don't want her to know I ordered meds from another country online.
My LC gave me a handout on it citing Dr. Jack Newman. Regarding LO, it says:
The amount that gets into the milk is so tiny that side effects in the baby should not be expected. Mothers have not reported any to us, in many years of use, at least not symptoms that can be attributed definitely to the domperidone. Certainly the amount the baby gets through the milk is a tiny percentage of what babies would get if being treated for spitting up. Remember, this is a medication often given to babies for reflux.
I doubt your Pedi would judge. The medication is hard to get. There's only one pharmacy in Colorado that compounds it and it's crazy expensive, so my LC is the one who told me about the online website.
I've been on Vomistop for 3.5 weeks now and have noticed a slow increase. I ordered this because of the cost. Reglan side effects didn't sound too appealing to me, either.
So far, I have only experienced minimal headaches, but those could also be a result of DD screaming in my ear. She has become a master at quick, loud screams.
I'm taking Motilium - it's slightly more expensive than Vomistop I believe. I've read that you can take Motilium long term and on the inhousepharm website for Vomistop it says:
"You should continue to take Vomistop 10 for as long as recommended by your doctor, however, it is not intended for long-term use and you should not continue to take it for more than two weeks, unless recommended by your doctor."
I know there are ladies that are taking both (not at the same time obviously) but I will continue to buy Motilium because I have noticed a slight increase and am hoping by 6 weeks I will see even more of an increase - I've only been taking 2 weeks and have seen 1-2 oz. increase so far.
I also ordered it but have been afraid to take it. My sister in-law, who is a pharmacist, recommended not taking it because when medications are made in other countries you don't know what else is put in the drug since we (US) don't monitor how medication is made in other countries.
I really really want to take it because I'm not able to pump enough to keep up with what DS needs.

This, except I ordered Vomistop about a week ago. I believe they are the same, just one is a generic, cheaper version. Since the drug is not intended for milk increase, I think the warnings for regular use do not apply to those of us taking it for that. Obviously follow any medical warnings if you have health issues. I had no side effects to the Motilium, so I'm trying the Vomistop because its much cheaper.
