I have my anatomy scan tomorrow and I'm totally freaked out about finding out baby's gender. I definitely want to know but I'm kind of worried about raising a boy as a single mother. I have a few guy friends, but no super close men that can be good role models.
Beyond that I've nannied for 15 years and always had a harder time connecting with boys as opposed to girls. My BFF says this one will be genetically engineered to connect with me!:::mobile smiley:::
Any single parent thoughts about how great boys are that will ease my mind? Or at least let me know I'm not a terrible person for having this worry?
Re: Boy vs. Girl
Mother of two wonderful boys! Blessed through adoption.
That's funny - I was afraid of raising a girl when I got pg! Boys are awesome, and just think - you'll never have to buy him a training bra or tampons
Also, when they're young, sex is just anatomy. The happy thing about parenting is the gradual process. You'll do just fine, regardless of your kiddo's sex
