Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Is this normal?

DS had a tooth start poking through his gums last Tuesday and it's still just showing the tip.  His second tooth started poking out Sunday and hasn't had a chance to rise yet.  I feel like I hear stories of teething and teeth pop up over night but my little guy is in slow-rising tooth agony!

Re: Is this normal?

  • HOnestly, it took almost a month for DS's lower 2 teeth to completely emerged.  However, he was back to his normal self as soon as the teeth cut through the gum.

His top 2 teeth cut through last week; at this time, they're still barely visible (I can feel a slight edge sticking out of his gum line.)

  • Normal. DS has been working on the same tooth going on 4 weeks now. I ::think:: it is almost through (fingers crossed).

  • I saw my baby's top two teeth a couple of days before her 6 month appointment and now they just started to come through at 9 1/2 months. They took so long that the two next to the ones I saw all those months ago came out at the same time and I never saw those caps at all. They just popped through all of a sudden. So I think its different each time.
