Just want to start off by saying that when I said "twins would be a happy surprise" I did not mean that a multiples pregnancy would be fun! I have witnessed really stressful and heart wrenching twin pregnancies. I nannied for a family and the mom was pregnant with twins with TTTS. She was on bed rest since the very start. They had to take the twins 9 weeks early and they stayed in the NICU for 2 months. Once they were home the next 6 months were very hard, so although I have never been through it as a mom, I know full well just how difficult it can be. I did not want anyone thinking that I thought twin pregnancies were easy or fun. I would still like to have twins. It's kind of a dream of mine. My H is a twin and he loved growing with his brother. Like I mentioned before, I nannied the twins until they were two. I love the dynamic between twins and hope one day that we get twins. If not, we're obviously okay with one baby at a time. (:
ANYWAYS, the slightest possibility of twins made this u/s even more exciting. Right away I could tell, only one baby! What a beautiful, wiggly, active baby, with a strong heartbeat. Cue water works. It took a while to be able to see what the baby was sporting, but after a little bit the tech said "GIRL!!"! Holy moly, we're so excited! We wanted another girl, since this one will be close in age with our daughter. We have a couple names lined up, Molly and Maggie, but we're keeping them from family (esp. mine) for a while.
So...no litter of anything, I know you're disappointed in that. Maybe next time.

Re: Update to my Ute being too big!
Once again Cashing making me laugh out loud. This time it was even better because DS started laughing too!
And yes, Emma is very cute, I'm sure she will make a great big sister. And I like the name Maggie!
Hm, maybe a middle name.
I will let H know.

Congrats to you!!
I know what you mean by the twin thing...if there was a guarantee that they would be okay (which of course there's not) then I can see people wanting twins. It was funny during our first ultrasound when she said "And by the way, there's only one in there." We looked at each other and said holy sh*t, we hadn't even thought about that.
We just found out yesterday we are having a girl as well and Molly and Maggie are on our very short list as well! I am thinking about Margaret as the first name and Maggie or Molly as the nickname
.
Edit: Sorry my pic is so big, trying to change it!
Thank you! I think we're just doing Maggie or Molly. I know it's not a very popular choice to use just Maggie, but I don't really care for the full name versions, they aren't our style. (:
If you do use Maggie, I recommend it just being Maggie and not Margaret. I am a Margaret and have constantly had to tell people my whole life that I go by Maggie. It would just be easier to have the name you go by as your legal name, IMO.
Yep! That's the plan. I think we're settled on Maggie May.
I've dealt with the same thing and had to tell people that I go by my nickname as well, not my legal name. I guess I didn't think it was that big of a deal so that's why I was willing to make my daughter go through it, lol
. Margaret/Mary are family names though, so I would like to incorporate one of them somehow.
Enjoy them!!
