Holy toddler meltdown in the middle of the night

It's my fault... over the weekends I get in the habit of nursing DD to get her to sleep for naps and back to sleep if she wakes up before 5.  She was just SO MAD at me for not nursing her now.... a good 25 of that blood-curdling angry screaming.  Now I remember why she didn't sleep through the night for the first 14 months of life... because I always gave up and comfort nursed her to stop the screaming.    I ended up putting her back in her crib to CIO for a couple minutes because there was NOTHING dh or I could do... now she is yelling every few minutes.   I feel like my kid is too old for me to have not completely resolved this yet.
