Has anyone scheduled a csection just to get their tubes tied?
The other option would be for hubby to get fixed but just wanted to see if others had scheduled a csection just for that?
I know of people who have had their tubes tied during their section, but it was always a medically required section before.
In most places you can have your tubes tied lapriscopically (sorry about the spelling, mobile) and that has a MUCH easier time healing than a section which requires major abdominal surgery. So I guess if you have no other need for a section I'd say don't do it.
That's exactly what I did just to get it out of the way as well I am getting dh to get a v done. I just need to get him in to see his dr. This is also a rcs so it's not just about the tubal, I was scared to try vbac with the way things turned out to be like during the birth of ds.
I thought about it, but then I realized it just didn't make sense. I really wanted to VBAC (and I did! Yay!) and I am so glad I didn't choose major abdominal surgery just to get my tubes tied. Getting your tubes tied is such a minor procedure compared to a c section.
