anyone planning a babymoon?

i'm not sure how many couples actually use the baby excuse as a reason to vacation. we did! although i feel a little greedy and indulgent, it's the last chance before our lives change forever.

Riviera Maya for Labor Day week! At first I wasn't so sure about doing all inclusive when i can't partake in the unlimited margaritas at the pool, but we went for it anyways. hopefully they can mix up some yummy mocktails instead!

Hope my doctor is ok with that. I'll tell him at my appointment today. Should be fine since its 2nd tri.

We don't have anything planned yet. But DH is getting a bonus at work, so we're thinking of going for a vacation in August or September.

Have fun in Riviera Maya! We went there a couple years ago. I highly recommend the ruins of Tulum as an excursion (if you are planning on going on any). Tulum is Mayan ruins located right on these spectacular cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

We are planning on a weekend getaway this fall. We have found an incredible babysitter and now feel comfortable enough where we can leave DD overnight with her. I talked to her and she would not mind watching DD for a weekend. As much I would love to go somewhere outside the UK, I think we are going to stick to something more local here in Scotland-maybe the Scottish highlands. They have some beautiful B&Bs there and some amazing hiking which is something DH and I both love to do.

I'm thinking DH and I need to do an overnight trip, even if its just a staycation, without DS, before LO comes. I have never had a night or more than 4 hours away from DS and I think we could really use a whole night kid free before 2nd baby gets here.

We got back from a 1st anniversary/babymoon trip to Jamaica a couple weeks ago. We had a great time and it was so relaxing! I had a lot of virgin strawberry daiquiris and pina coladas.

We travel a lot, so we're just kind of increasing our travel over the next several months. I guess they are baby moons, but really we would have done most of them anyway. We are going to Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of NY next week, Aruba for 9 days at the end of August. I am going to Ocean City, MD for 5 days in September, either by myself or with one of my sisters. We are also planning long weekends in Atlanta and possibly San Diego in the fall.

Going to Turkey, Serbia and Croatia in less than two weeks Happy it will be a 2nd trimester trip as well.

I would love to do one more small trip, like New York in the fall as DH has never been, but realistically we will probably be pretty broke by then after doing up the nursery and getting all the supplies, so we will see.

I'm a bit nervous about travelling pregnant but I could definitely use a vacation so overall I'm mostly excited!

Nope! Did one when I was pregnant with DD and I was just so uncomfortable and missed my own bed... it's one of those things that (for me) seemed like a fabulous idea on paper but was not so great in reality. We went to Aruba.

We are going to Ashville, NC for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend as a little getaway and to visit my sister who recently moved there. MIL will watch DS and it'll be nice to have a few nights away with DH.

we did bite the bullet and get trip insurance this time. we've travelled a good bit without the insurance, but just incase something happens in the pregnancy or a hurricane, it's nice to have incase we need to stay close to home.

DH and I went on a cruise to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta last time when I was about 16 weeks and it was awesome! Did miss the drinking a little and made DH take some extra shots for me

This time, we'll see. I'd like to take a weekend at least and get away without DD. Maybe sometime this fall.

Well, I really wouldn't consider it a baby moon as there will be 14 other people with us. But we're going to Disney World in December!

We love to travel internationally, and I'll admit it was probably the #1 reason I was a bit disappointed we got pregnant sooner than planned - I'm going to miss traveling as a care free couple so much! So we're definitely going to squeeze in one last pre-baby trip towards the end of my second tri. Right now it looks like it will be Greece for two weeks. I'd been waiting to book until our 12 wk test results came back, and we just got the call yesterday so we'll probably book this week!

I am so jealous. I had a vacation planned to Bosnia and Croatia back in 2010. The volcano in iceland ruined it, and we couldn't fly across the Atlantic. I still have yet to replan that one, I am sure I will make it there someday. Enjoy!

We are big travelers and needed to take a trip! We are normally off the beaten path people, but booked a southern Caribbean cruise and are staying a few extra days in Puerto Rico! So excited!

We're considering a trip in September, especially now that the wedding I was supposed to be in was moved. It's hard for him to take leave since he's military, so I don't know if it will happen...we'll see. I'll probably fly to Colorado to see him and spend a few days at a B&B over there.

Yeah, planning trips was a little bit weird. Not for the same exact reason, but because normally I look for all of the activities that I can do -- surfing, horseback riding, ziplining, jet skiing, etc. I had to adjust my expectations a bit.

We are going to Acadia National Park in Maine at the beginning of September. We planned it before we found out we are expecting, so we weren't thinking of it as a baby moon. We're definitely going to have to change some of our plans for hiking etc. I'm really looking forward to it... this will be the first time we've gone away just the two of us for longer than 3 or 4 days since our honeymoon 9 years ago!

I love the Finger Lakes, especially Seneca! Have fun! Too bad you can't enjoy the wineries.

Acadia is on my bucket list!! Have a wonderful time Also, you might be surprised what you can still do in regards to hiking. We hike a lot and I just take plenty of water breaks, listen to my body, and do not try to push myself too hard. Hiking is one of the few things that makes my morning sickness better!

My H is too paranoid when I am pregnant for any international travel. We did go on a pre babymoon to the Bahamas in December.

Hopefully we will be visiting friends in Cleveland this summer. Not a babymoon but definitely a fun vacation.

Well, I guess technically we took a baby moon last week when we went to Hawaii. But that was planned before I found out I was PG so...

We're also going to the beach for a week in August with my entire family. Just a vacay really, but I'm still looking forward to it!

We are going on a mini trip to a city a few hours away. We have a kiddo already and so we have to be mindful. Plus in 2014 we have a trip to South Africa planned, so we're taking a 5 yr + done having babies trip

The husband I will be in Maui for a week in August! This trip was already planned paid for by the time we realized we were knocked up, but I'll still count it as a babymoon!

When I was pg with ds, dh's family had booked a Caribean cruise. I went and was about 22 weeks pregnant and hated most of it. I hate heat as it is though.

This time our baby moon will be staying overnight out of town for a wedding in November. Yeah!!
