Here we go...

So, Luciano had his 9 ( and a half) month pedi appt yesterday.  Asked her about peanut butter, she said go ahead, no family history of peanut allergies, yada yada.  So, tonight I gave him some peanut noodles.

Well...he got hives around his mouth and on the chest and belly.  Gave him some benedryl, hives went away, acting totally fine.  Nursed him before bed, everything was okay, and just as I am ready to lay him down...he threw up everywhere.  So much throw up :(.

Ponce he got cleaned up he was acting fine again.  Called the pedi just to make sure there wasn't anything else I should do tonight, and she was so snarky.  "We'll, who gave him peanut butter?!  Who told you you could feed him peanut butter!?"  Well, his doctor did for one.  For two, not helpful.  Jeez.  Calling the allergist in the morning.  REALLY REALLY hope that this is something he grows out of, I am very intimidated by peanut allergies.

  • You're supposed to drug up and give a bath. Hopefully he'll grow out of it. Amir has a peanut allergy as well.

  • Yeah, gave him the benedryl and then he took a shower.  He honestly seemed fine until he puked all over me.  So you already had Amir tested?  Just peanuts?
