I have purchased the snuggle nest surround co-sleeper for my LO. I actually practiced sleeping with it in my bed a couple nights ago to see how it effects me. I didn't have any problems.
But I would like some advice from experienced mom's who practice co-sleeping. Anything really
Thank you!
Re: Co-Sleeping advice for a new mom!
More Green For Less Green
That said, I think it can be a great tool for a parent who isn't entirely comfortable with bedsharing but wants to keep baby extra close.
I slept with a thin quilt the entire time I co-slept, so just in case my infant got covered, it wouldn't cover his nose and mouth completely like a fluffy down comforter would. I also would suggest while you are learning to breastfeed, get out of bed, and sit in a chair. It was so hard to nurse in bed. Even to this day I find it the most difficult way to nurse. (my LO has breastfed 10 mo). We were able to master the side laying nurse technique maybe around 3 mo??
Enjoy those moments! I really miss co-sleeping with my son. I transitioned him to the crib around 6 months because he was starting to learn how to roll. (I had him on the outside of the bed because my DH is a sound sleeper who rolls like a crocodile, and I didn't trust him sleeping next to our LO. So when he started to want to roll, I couldn't have him in our bed any longer.
