Grease Stain :(

So I ordered a beautiful white dress for Eleanor's 1 year photo's next week and it arrived looking like it had been caught in the door of the truck... The bag was all ripped and when I opened it up there is a large grease stain along the side of the dress :(

I called the company and they are sold out of the dress... They offered to help me find one in a store near me, but it was on clearance and no one has it... I really love this dress!!!!!

Does anyone have any solutions for getting the grease out? It's been soaking in oxyclean for hours and it doesn't seem to be helping :(

Help me...

    Dawn dish soap?

I saw something about dawn and hydrogen peroxide...

I guess if it gets the oil out of baby birds it might get it out of my baby dress???

Depending on the material...maybe soaking with Tide Bleach Alternative? I wouldn't be too happy with the shipping company!!

Agreed!  Have you contacted the shipping people to complain?  They should cover the cost of the dress and shipping or at the very least pay to clean it.

I'm sorry, I have no advice on getting the stain out.  I'm not very good in that department.  I hope it comes out!

Shut up. I would have died. (Towards the end of the night someone totally dumped a tray of chocolate chip cookies in my train)

Do you just like...scrub it? Or soak the area?

I've done Palmolive on oil stains. I'm sure dawn would work too. I rub it on with my fingers. Let it sit like that overnight and then wash it in the washer. I would do delicate for a dress.

Also have you ever tried Zout?? MH got either grease or ink on Emery's dress and I put Zout on it and it took it right out.

Haha I was dying. It like touched the car when we put it in and there was just a big black spot. My photographer saved the day knowing the dawn trick. She just put some on a dish towel and scrubbed it and it came out!!
