I'm here...lurk more than post, but I do check in. We are doing great! Enjoying the summer and enjoying the fact we can be outside more with LO this summer. It makes planning activities and playtime much easier this year. Family picnic and fireworks for the 4th.
DS is so much fun right now. He is always coming up with new words and imitates everything we do. He likes to wear my shoes (on his feet or his arms!), blows kisses, gives hugs and kisses to people and animals alike, and says bye to his toys.
I am feeling more organized and like I kind of have figured out this whole mom thing. Kind of.
We're going to a coworker's house for 4th of July to swim and set off fireworks. Then Friday is his 15 month check up and we have a lot to talk about with his pedi (reintroducing foods I've been avoiding, hemoglobin levels, getting less BM at DC, etc etc).
Hello all! I'm still here I don't come on as much as I would like but at least twice a week.
LO is doing great, loving the walking, pool, and running. Learning a lot and finally is interested in books. Here are a few pics of him from this summer Hope all of your LOs are doing great!
Life here.....pretty rough. Would take far too long to go into it all but pretty much every aspect of life is hard right now. Van has been in the shop 3 times in 3 weeks for the same issue and that is making everything else hard. DD is screaming through meals and not sleeping well. I'm exhausted. Starting to feel like my new nickname should be Job. lol.
We are going to DH's extended family BBQ 1.5hrs away. Honestly, neither of us want to go. Doesn't start until noon. That is when DD eats and goes down for a nap. Don't feel like dealing with that family. Would rather stay home and relax, just the three of us. But the extended family hasn't even met DD yet so kinda need to go.

I'm here...just really busy. In the past three months we have moved and I've started a new job. I'm also putting together an art camp for the area we live in.
DS is doing great. He's all over the place! We spend most of our time outside running off energy. He's enjoying summer.
We are going to be keeping the holiday low key. Just a little cook out at our place.
We're doing well. DH and I are both off for the summer and we're loving all the time home with DS. He's talking more every day, which is exciting (and a relief for me, since I was a little worried about the fact that he wasn't talking much), learning more signs (we do baby sign with him) and just cracking us up. We've been taking him in the swimming pool, which he loves! It's been crazy hot here the past week (like over 100) so we haven't been able to play outside much, which has been tough and has definitely led to some meltdowns.. he doesn't understand why we can't go for a walk at 2 in the afternoon lol!
Not sure about plans for the 4th.. we were hoping to host a little BBQ with some friends but everyone seems to have other plans, so it's looking like it will just be the 3 of us at home. There are only a couple of places nearby that do fireworks and they're always extremely crowded, plus the fireworks won't start until well after 9, which would put us home waaaaay past DS' bedtime. I don't like to be out on the road on the 4th if I can avoid it anyway - too many crazies who've been drinking all day. I prefer to just stay home and enjoy my drinks!
We go together like a wink and a smile. June 27, 2009
So great to see everyone, and hear how all the LOs are doing!
I officially have a walker. It is so great, and awesome, and amazing to watch her at this stage. She is so in love with music she is a mover and a shaker! I feel like we have hit the terrible twos early, it is hissy fit central around here.
We are getting ready to get really busy we are going to be bailing around 500 acres of straw. So my dd will be happy because all the teenage boys will come out to help. She is such a flirt, and it is so funny because it worries her dad of years to come.
I really want her to be able to see the fireworks this year, but it will all depend on how she's feeling, because tomorrow she gets her shots.
Hello! I mostly lurk but I am still here as well! We are doing well, Sylvie is obsessed with dogs and being outside. She loves to swim and give kisses and her latest thing is howling like a little wolf pup!
We don't really have big plans for the 4th, just maybe a picnic with my side of the family, and this weekend I have pit seats to see Taylor Swift which I am very excited about Hope you are all doing well!
I'm glad to see all the updates. Sorry to hear it has been so rough, countrygrl. I feel you on the cookout. I hate anything that screws with nap time.
We are settling in to our new house. It has been so great to have more space! DD is adjusting well; the dog...not so much. We did have Invisible Fence just installed so hopefully that will be better for him. There is an abandoned house next door (builder went bankrupt) which houses these awful and aggressive barn swallows. We are hoping it is demolished by the end of summer. They are constantly dive bombing us and I think that isn't helping the dog, either.
We are having my family here for lunch for the 4th. It stinks cause DH has to work the next day. I did buy some sparklers so that should be fun after DD goes to bed!
We just moved and so I've been really busy trying to get everything unpacked and meeting a ton of new people! Jane is having some trouble sleeping (getting used to her new room AND teething) and she's a bit clingy around all of the strangers, but overall she's transitioning really well! Our new house is much bigger and we have a great back yard, so she's having a ball exploring her new surroundings.
We're headed to the city fireworks with our new church on Thursday night. The rest of the weekend, we're having dinner with someone new every night. Life is super busy right now!
This kid keeps me busy, but definitely in a good way! It is totally cool and creepy at the same time to watch him look and act more like me. Watching his eyes and expressions is like looking in a mirror and my husband already remarks its like having two of me around and he thinks we're both ganging up on him!
Our plan for the 4th is to do as little as possible. I was very surprised to see a lot of FB friends with young babies talking about taking them to fireworks. Alexander would NEVER make it late enough to see them. 8:00 hits and he's down.
Hello! My name is Vanessa and my son is Seb nickname for Eusebio. We are from Canada. I am always here reading postings but very rarely posts. i guess now is the beat time to come out of hiding. No big plans for this weekend but we are hoping to visit our town's Butterfly Conservatory or the museum. Or buy/prep/stress about our 3 week vacation to the Philippines in September lol.

DS is doing great. I'm loving this age and watching him learn new things everyday. He's talking up a storm - saying new words all the time - but what I think is so fascinating is how much he understands now. Like, when we say, "are you hungry?," he goes straight to his high chair, and "are you ready for night night?", he goes right over to the stairs. It makes me so excited to see what's next for him!
No big plans for the 4th. We live on top of a hill so we can see our town's fireworks (and every other firework display it seems) from our house, so we usually just cook out and watch the displays go off around us. It's really cool.
LO is great and getting into all kinds of trouble. Our issue now is that she doesn't really want to eat these days.
Not much planned this weekend, but then again I am getting ready to leave for a conference in CA and fly out on Sunday. I just hope to get in enough snuggles to last me till next Friday.

Hello, and thank you for coming out and introducing yourself. Your vacation sounds awesome, I'm super jealous! You'll have to tell us how it goes. September is right around the corner!
We are doing well. DS is fun, but busy. I don't think he can sit still longer than a few seconds. Always on the go, but that's ok. Just keeps us on our toes!
I don't know yet what we'll do for the 4th. There is a splash pad in one of the neighborhoods near us, so we might go to that this afternoon. My H has to work tomorrow morning, so we aren't going anywhere tonight. We live in a neighborhood that's on the edge of town, so people have been doing fireworks here for a few nights. They are legal in our state, and I think as long as no one complains, cops allow it where we live too. We probably won't go see any tonight, as it is too late for DS. H and I may go out on the deck tonight and watch the ones we can see from our house.
Happy 4th of July!

I'm still here occasionally. LO is doing great. We have a had a crazy busy summer. We sold our house and bought a new one. So everyday has been interacting with the realtor, loan officer, title company, contractor, inspector... Plus it was hard finding a house. In our town, houses are going for full price with multiple offers in a matter of days. We lost out on about 5 houses before getting this one. Big plans for the holiday - PACKING!
4th was great. DH grilled up some super yummy steaks and veggies.
Otherwise things are gong great. DD keeps pulling new words out of nowhere. Last week she said 'lunchbox' unprompted which pretty much blew my mind. I don't think I even say it that much. I guess it is something they talk about a lot at school. She is LOVING books. She can't get enough of them. We already got our 1st 2 prizes for the summer book club at the library. I'm thinking of doing "1000 books before kindergarten" with her even though there is no formal version of the program in our area.
I'm glad to see everyone is doing so well! I was very active but fell off the bump after my guy was about 6 months.. I have actually been so inactive I can't figure out my old password and had to create a new s/n.
I just found out in pregnant with 2 so I am back on the bump a bit more.
