Another birthday party question. . .

Do parents usually stay at the party with kids this age (4)? DS has only been to two and at both of them all of the parents stayed, but they were both at venues like a bouncy house or park. If I have it at my house, should I expect the parents to stay during the party?

At 4, yes, I expect the parents to stay.  Probably will at 5 too.

  • At that age, at the parties we held and went to all of the parents stayed.  I would not want to be responsible for a bunch of 4-yr-olds on my own while hosting other guests.  I don't think you need to ask them to stay though - I would assume htat they will.

Ok good. I was hoping that would be the answer.

Yes the parents stay and you may want to include siblings to the invite.

  • The last party we went to said parents could stay if they wanted or drop off, and everyone except one mom stayed. All other parties, all parents stayed.

  • I think until 6-7 they will stay, hence why I will only do family or friends of mine. I do not want to make random adults feel comfortable, LOL
