So DD had her 6 month check up yesterday & she's only 13.9 pounds. She weighed 7 pounds at birth. She's currently 10th percentile for weight & 55th for height. And she's only 2nd percentile on the weight for height chart. :-/ Anyone else in the same boat? Her doctor wants to see her back in a month for a weight check, but he's not concerned because she clearly doesn't look skinny. She's got fat on her. I'm hoping that she will start gaining more now that she's eating solids.
Re: 6 months & hasn't doubled birth weight...
DD is the same, although we won't find out for sure until her appointment in 2 weeks, but she'll be lucky to hit 14 lbs.
BF babies usually start out small like this.

It is no big deal, don't worry
DD was 8lbs 3 oz and is somewhere in the 13 or so range right now. There is no way she will double her birth weight for awhile. She is consistently in the 3rd percentile for weight but 50-60th for length. DD is perfectly healthy and is hitting all of her milestones at or ahead of schedule. Kids are all built differently.

We had the same problem so DD has had frequent weight checks, she finally picked a cozy spot around the 3rd percentile and stuck with it.

We are sort of with you. DS was 6lb 4oz at birth and at his 4 month appointment he was 12 lb 2 oz. He is 5 months now and I believe we've hit 12lb 8 oz, but I have not weighed him. We are still 4th percentile on weight - I think the highest we've been is 5th.
For those of us with "small" babies, I think you need to listen to your doc. If he isn't worried, then you should not be worried.
Also, when DS was in the hospital (he was in NICU for 3 weeks) he wasn't gaining weight like he should, so the docs supplemented his formula. It is easy and safe under a doc's guidance to help the smaller guys gain a bit of weight.
Finally, babies don't do a bunch of things at once. Usually they are growing either in length or in weight, but not both, from what I am being told. DS is by far longer than he is chubby. Poor thing BARELY has any pudge. Whereas a baby girl in his day care, who is 17 days older is way pudgy, with rolls everywhere, but not quite as long.
Again, as long as your doc isn't worried, you shouldn't be. I've had enough experience as both a patient and a mom of a patient to know that doctors will absolutely let you know when to be worried!
Good luck!
