Teething or ears?

DS has been tugging his ears a lot lately. He's been more fussy then normal but mostly on the evenings. He's also been a poor eater. I've been chalking it up to teething but his temp is elevated slightly at 99.6. He's been sleeping good and otherwise normal. What do you think teething or ears?

I have a call into his pedi but just wanted to get other opinions.

I accidentally posted this in TTGP sine I lurk their for their snark and haven't had my coffee yet...I couldn't figure out how to delete the post so I apologized and moved on. Hopefully they won't virtually kill me over there. Those ladies scare me lol!

I would bring DS in but I'm pretty paranoid at this point.  DS had 3 ear infections in a row and the only signs we had were pulling at his ears and not eating right. He had no fever, sleeping fine and a normal mood the whole time!  For ear infections #2 & 3, he was even eating fine.

No to all of this. I'm thinking it teething since he doesn't have the classic ear infection symptoms. The elevated temp got me confused.
  • I would probably take him in but I get a little paranoid when it comes to his ears, He's had 7 ear infections and just got tubes 2 months ago. Once we were on ear infection number three the only signs he ever showed were tugging on his ears and shaking his head no all the time. Hope your little guy starts feeling better!

He shakes his head no constantly. The pedi said to just watch him and if he starts showing other signs to being him in.
  • This was me yesterday. Griffin was moody all weekend, tugging at his ear, didn't sleep well Sunday night. I took him in yesterday and it turns out his ear is plugged (like what happens to us on an airplane) and there is nothing that can really be done.
