Tell me something I already know

That it is more than time to get rid of the angelcare monitor.  Anyone still successfully using theirs?  He gets himself into a corner and the thing chirps, sometimes goes off.  The monitor itself doesn't wake him, but if I so much as walk into his room he bolts upright.  This morning I ninja crawled across his floor to turn the damn thing off.

  • We don't have one, but there's no way. DS doesn't sleep in one spot, ever.

  • We stopped using ours couple of months ago. He moves way too much and likes to jam himself into a corner. I sold it and bought a video monitor.
  • Ha! Ninja crawling!

  • Ok. It's going tonight!  I can still use it as a regular monitor.  I can't really hear him from my room unless he is full on screaming.  I can only imagine how much of a fool I looked like trying to slither across the floor on my hands and feet, touching as few creaky floorboards as possible.

  • I would recommend getting a video monitor. Sometimes Landen is jabbering in his crib, but if he is still laying down and hasn't sat or stood up, most of the time he goes back to sleep. We have a Motorola one and love it.

    This! We love ours.
  • Yep, we turned ours to a basic sound monitor about three months ago. I want a video monitor but it seems like an unnecessary expense right now.

this is how I feel too.  I really want one, but I feel like it is a waste of money now that I probably won't need one soon?  Or do you guys use them into toddlerhood?

I feel like we're the only ones still using ours! LO is totally all over in her crib, but we've only had it go off once when she was in the corner. We have ours on a board that is the same size as the mattress and the sensitivity is all the way down. shrug, lol!

We don't have one, and I'm too cheap to get one, but toddlerhood would actually be a really entertaining time to have a video monitor :).  To see what your 1 or 2 year old is doing in there besides sleeping would be hilarious.  If you have the money lying around...
