I am currently in a part of Ontario (Canada) that has dense bush which means tonnes ofmosquitoesand black flies. I use a UV net that goes over the stroller, as well as dressing my son in long sleeves, pants and socks. Always wear a light colour and ensure that you or the person looking after your child isn't wearing perfume or strongly scented deoderant. We've been here 5 days now and DS has gotten two bites so I feel like we are winning the war so far. Good luck.
I've been told this works, haven't tried it myself, will be this weekend while camping. Put tea tree oil in a spray bottle with water. Apparently it makes a fantastic, chemical free bug spray.
