Comfortable baby wearing

Hi ladies! I don't think I have posted here before but I lurk some. I have an 8 week old little girl. I think some of my parenting preferences fit into AP...

Anyway I have a mei tai style carrier for DD. Its the Infantino brand, if that matters. I really like it but I can't figure out how to keep her feet from getting so smooshed in the bottom. She always sleeps when I carry her in it but will inevitably wake up screaming and I think it's because her feet are getting pinched and it starts to hurt her after awhile. When I take her out, her feet are red and she has wrinkle marks from the fabric that look uncomfortable to me!

Any ideas how to fix this? Am I probably just worrying too much?

you could roll up a receiving blanket to use as a pillow under her bum.

it won't be long before you can just stick her legs out.

Ditto PP. Also, you could use a ribbon or hair band to cinch the part of the panel that makes up the "crotch". With a narrower width there, you may be able to get baby with legs out now.

I should reread the instructions that came with my carrier. What determines when they can have legs out?

I just went by when he looked like it worked. Far from scientific, but eventually newborns sort of "uncurl" and then he was fine legs out. It was also when he got a little longer - you want baby to be "visible and kissable", not sunk way down inside the carrier. With a mei tai, you can roll the waistband up to make the body shorter to help with that.

We will try it! I don't think she would have a problem sitting like that, especially if I rolled it up. Thanks!
