TMI, but...

My period finally came back. I'm a bit bummed since I was enjoying my period free time, but so be it. Anyway... I've never been a pad person, so I grabbed a box of tampons. So not comfortable. It doesn't quite hurt, but I'm not going to forget that I'm using one. Anyone experience this?

    This happened to me after my son. My OB suggested a silicone reusable 'cup' (like the Diva cup). It ended up getting better for me quick, so I never tried it and stuck with tampons, but I might try one this time when AF returns just for the cost and environmental factors.

    Yes!!  I was just getting ready to post the same thing, because I'm wearing one now and it is not comfortable.  Exactly as you said, it doesn't hurt but you definitely can't forget it's in there.  Wasn't expecting that.  It also seems like it's not staying in place very well.  As in...slipping out a bit overnight.  What?!  Hope this improves, as I can't stand pads either.

    I had a 4th degree tear with DS and they wouldn't even stay in me for like two years. Well the super would. Now I have mirena and I bleed randomly, no signs or symptoms, just "oh look I'm bleeding!" I wear a liner all time. Between peeing myself and random bleeding I'm a mess.

    I just started cramping the other day, and have only seen spotting so far.

    Am I preggly? Lol, totally kidding.

    I think mine will hold off though because of the Mirena. But when I do spot, I go with a good ole' pad. Tampons and myself are mortal enemies after babies lol Maybe in a year or so we'll rekindle our love.

    Thanks ladies. I'm at least glad I'm not the only one. I think I'm going to keep trying bc I haven't worn pads since middle school going on 20 years ago... I'm crossing my fingers for improvement. I definitely miss parts of my body from preLO.

    I used tampons for years until about a year ago I started to use the Soft Cup. I won't ever go back.

    I haven't bought any since I haven't ha a real period. I did spot and bleed when I had my Mirena taken out. That thing was the devil. I used a lite tampon and that hurt like hell! I had a Csection too.
