How many weeks PP did you wait to have sex? I'm not going to have it right now. Just wondering what everone else.

    I think we did around 6-7 weeks. Warning, it can be pretty painful, even if you didn't push. Lots of lube. Breastfeeding reallllly makes things different down there, I wish I had know that!

    I did it at 5 weeks pp and it was only painful because I was dry.

    9 days PP. DH left to go back overseas to finish his first deployment. After that I didn't get any until 6 months PP.

    I think I got permission at my 6 week pp visit but we waited until around 7-8 weeks I think, only because I wanted to started taking my BC pill for about a week before we had sex for the first time again.  It was a little uncomfortable because I was breastfeeding and I was very dry.

    4 weeks and it was fine.  Make sure you have lube on standby if you are bfing.  it wasn't spectacular by any means but nothing hurt and it was infinitely better than pregnancy sex.  I must have been the only woman on earth to not have anything resembling pleasurable sex during pregnancy, not even once.

    We did it at 4 weeks. My recovery went very well and quick. I didn't have any pain or discomfort with intercourse at 4 weeks but everyone recovers differently.

    Most doctors say wait 6 weeks so the huge whole in your uterus can heal where your placenta was attached. Sex before than can lead to bacteria getting up there and badness.  When you do have sex, like others said, use lots of lube.

    We waited until i got y IUD, so 8 weeks. It hurt. Felt like I was being scraped in the inside. Was much better the second time, and every time thereafter, but it hurt again if we waited too long in between 'sessions'.
