Or for our Canadian bumpies, regular Thursday plans. :]
We are going to a cookout in the afternoon. Then we'll come home to comfort our dog when she inevitably goes BSC over the fireworks. What are you doing?
We're headed to the beach!! Leaving tomorrow night, coming home on Sunday. We'll probably spend Thursday down on the beach, then come back up to the house for a big dinner and fireworks over the ocean. This is my absolute most favorite holiday
Not looking forward to our plans. We have a command performance at my brother's for a picnic. Its 2 hours away. And we don't have the best relationship so I am not a happy camper. My DH is being a good sport but we are both not happy.
Probably nothing. I'm not taking ds out past his bedtime right now; he's been a beast.
I don't think we've celebrated 4th of July in years; the last 2 years they've cancelled fireworks at the lake because of extreme heat/drought. Same reason why no one cooks out. This summer isn't nearly as bad though.

Not sure ... DH and I both have off work on Thursday, but we both have to go to work on Friday (yuck!). We don't have any plan with anyone ... no cookouts, etc. Maybe we'll take DD to the pool (if the weather is good). I doubt we'll go see fireworks ... I really don't want to keep DD up past her bedtime. So it might just be like any other random Thursday ... except we'll be home!
We'll also have to deal with our dog who is terrified of any loud noises (fireworks, thunder, motorcycles, cars backfiring, etc). I should mention his name is Thor ... he has no clue that he is not supposed to be afraid of thunder! LOL!
My Journey to Motherhood Me 36, DH 42 7.5 years of TTC ... It never gets any easier.
Baby Girl # 1
TTC Since January 2009
Reproductive Endocrinologist diagnosed us "Unexplained Infertility".
After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.
Baby Girl # 2 TTC Since June 2013 Got pregnant on our own without Fertility Treatments - January 2016! Thank you snow storm Jonas! EDD 10/15/16 At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
We are going to the local fair during the day and then watching the fireworks at DHs friend's house. DH may have to work during the day so we'll go to the fair with my sister and mom.
My mom died on the 4th of July five years ago, so I have a tradition of going to the cemetery and listening to her funeral service on CD. We don't have any other plans yet. I'd like to go watch fireworks, but I don't want to go downtown, and plus the whole bedtime thing.

I'm sorry for your loss. We will be at the beach with DFs family. It's a little bittersweet because this will be the first time we are down there without FIL. I'm excited to see his whole family though and relax at the each. Also, there is talk of MIL watching the kids while we all go out to the bars on the 4th!

We are going to DH's aunt's lake house. DH's family is HUUUUUGE so there will be over 20 people there. I'm thinking it's going to be a little over whelming but I'm kinda looking forward to it. NOT looking forward to the 3.5 hour drive though.
On a side note- DH's family takes every holiday to extreme. Their fireworks show was bigger than the city's. (They haven't done one the past few years due to burn bans). For Easter they have an Easter egg hunt with 100s of eggs, one golden egg with $100 in in. Don't get me started on their 4 day Christmas celebrations.
We always go to my parents house and have a cook-out. Then we head to the city next to where they live and watch the fireworks. I'm not worried about Liam. I am sure he will love them. I am also not worried about bed times or loud noises. We have a stupid neighbor who has a motorcycle that at 5 am every morning revs his enging really loudly over and over right outside his window. If that doesn't wake him up...

You coming to VB, Mea?
I don't know what we're doing. We're both off, but both have to work on Friday. Probably some pool time. Maybe visit with DH's aunt and cousins.
If we do go to the city event I doubt we'll stay until fireworks. They don't start until 9:30 and DS goes to bed at 7. I'm half tempted to try it, though. I imagine he'd fall asleep close to his regular time and then sleep on the way home and be fine after transferring to his crib.
But, I also imagine a meltdown when he was woken up by the fireworks, though.
We are leaving on Wednesday for a family vacation to the Texas Hill country with FIL and SMIL, DH's uncle, aunt, their two children and grandchildren. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and relief from the infernal heat for a few days.
DH and I met on July 4, 2005 so it's a day we celebrate though not in the traditional way.
TTC since 3-08
IVF # 1 Dec 2011 BFP
DD born at 31 weeks 6-24-12
We get together with the same four families at a cottage every year. We don't actually sleep there - we're local, but the out-of-towners do. DH's parents have been doing this with their friends for probably 20 years.
The festivities kind of began already because we've been out there the past two days, but the OOT crowd starts showing up tomorrow.
On the fourth, we sit on the beach all day and jet ski/SUP/windsurf/kayak. There are usually margarita slushies. Then one family cooks and we do s'mores and fireworks on the beach.
We are having a cookout Wednesday night with friends and then watching the fireworks from the upstairs window after DD goes to sleep. Then not sure about what we are actually doing on the 4th. We will probably go down to the boat for a little bit, can't swim because the water is so high from all the rain we've gotten. Other than that nothing big planned.

I'm going to run my first 5K in the morning of the 4th. Yikes! The rest of the day will be typical: parade, barbecues, family and fireworks. I'm still debating if we want to wake Mina up to watch the fireworks. She will probably freak out!
