Yes.... Until he realizes he can. He took his first official solo steps in May, but as soon as he realizes he's not holding onto anything, he drops like a fly. He's getting more and more independent, but so far he's only gotten about 5 steps in before going "oh shiit!" And throwing himself on the ground in fear.

DD walks assisted, but no solo steps that I've seen.
Not walking. In the last 2 weeks she's started letting go while standing and she's getting pretty good at standing by herself. She just turned 11months.
Chloe took her first few steps yesterday (10.5 months ish). Like BPaws's H, Chloe freaks out when she notices what she is doing and panics. LOL. But she'll come around soon I'm sure. She only started crawling 1.5 months ago and now shes starting steps... it happens soooo fast...
Re: Self-made poll
D took his first steps on June 25th. He was a day shy of 11 months.
Was he standing by himself (not holding on to anything)?
Nope. He can't stand by himself for longer than 10 seconds if he is stationary. If he is moving he is fine.

Same! If you're looking for someone to pivot around on their belly, though, I've got your girl here!
He's 10.5 months.
