Is someone beating me?

I keep finding these huge random bruises on my legs and have no idea where they come from. It makes me feel like I must have invisible person beating me in my sleep or something. I have heard it can be normal for pregnant women to bruise easier, but I guess I should probably bring this up at my next appointment?

Are you anemic? My husband had random bruises so he started eating more iron.

Not that I'm aware of. I have had issues in the past with donating blood because my iron won't be high enough, but at my first blood draw they said everything looked good. I just had my glucose test today and they took blood (obviously) so maybe they will check my iron again?

  • Ask you md to check your hemoglobin and platelets. Just to see if your anemic. Though usually with pregnancy your blood supply greatly increases!
  • My iron came up low after my glucose test. OB said its very normal in second trimester. I started taking slow release iron opposite my prenatal.
