Auntie

If I brought the kids up to Lambertville one Friday for the fireworks, what is there to do in Lambetville or New Hope? Thanks.

Re: Auntie

  • I don't live in New Hope - but I am about 20 minutes away.

Bucks County River boats has cruises on the river and there is also tubing - lots of fun!  We had our rehearsal dinner on one of the river boats - it was fun.

We just recently went to Ringing Rocks State Park - it was really cool and not that far away.

Obviously both Lambertville and New Hope have tons of shopping - but that isn't the most fun in the world.

There is also the New Hope Train.  Cute little ride, I've only ever been on it at Christmas time, but the kids have fun.

If it is bad weather - I would look into Giggleberry Fair in PEddler's Village - it looks like it is for younger kids - but even my 10 year old has fun in the giant ball room (it's pretty cool - my husband even likes it).

I can't think of anything else for now - but those are the things that popped into my mind.

  • One other thing - I use this website all the time for weekend events.  Not knowing all the towns might make it confusing, but it will list everything going on the PA side of the river.

  • Thanks Banana. I am in Jersey about an hour away so I am trying to find things to do and figured it would be fun as long as we are doing more than the Fireworks.

I'm headed out to the Jersey side for the 4th!  We go to a little town called Ocean Gate every year (just outside of Toms River).

    Have fun for the 4th!

  • We still aren't sure what we are doing on te 4th since the weather has been so horrible. I think we are going to head to Keansburg NJ on the 3rd which is on the bay but still a beach but if it rains we will stay more local at Bradley Beach in Monmouth County. I usually go to Manasquan but they are doing it on the 5th this year and I will be in NYC with my Mom. Hopefully the weather holds.
