Hey Ladies,
I need some help choosing a class which is good to attend: Natural Pain management during labour64 dollars or prepared childbirth class100 dollars. I know these classes help to know more about how its going to be during labour but no idea which one is better. Can you please help me know more. Thanks!
Re: Natural Pain Management during Labour
While if you're looking for a pain free birth class I would go with the first one. The 2nd class sounds more like a general over view of L&D and some newborn stuff.
I would also check to see if your insurance pays or helps pay for classes. You never know.
This.
We have 2 classes through my OB/GYN and they are:
Prepared Childbirth: They go over everything to expect from when you walk in until you walk out. They give you all your options for pain management (including drugs and epidurals, etc.) and inform you about vaginal birth vs c-section.
Natural Childbirth: They go over all the ways to get through labor without any pain meds and I'm told it's more about the breathing techniques and stuff like that.
They should have descriptions for you posted so you can make an informed decision. I am doing the prepared class because I want to know all of my options in case something goes south and I need a section. I agree with checking to see if they're covered. Mine are included as part of the "global fee" from my OB.
