Beach or pool??

So my DD will be 10 weeks Thursday and I am wondering how many of you have taken your little one to the beach or pool yet. I know sunblock is a nono until 6 months, but I plan on keeping her under an umbrella. At what age did you take LO to beach or the pool.

My LO is 10 weeks and has been to our pool 2 times and the beach more times than I can count! We love the outdoors and spend a ton of time with DS outside. We invested in a nice beach umbrella and it's allowed us to go lots of places!

We have taken her to the pool several times but its not the most fun since she can't go in water or wear sunscreen. We have a tent for her and she loves laying in it. But our trips tend to be much shorter because she gets fussy bored I would imagine!
I know a lot of people who bring their babies in the pool water, our pedi told us not to so we don't do it but they all seem to be fine. We dipped LOs toes in one day and she cried.....so not much temptation on my end!

We have a pool and we sit outside with our little one many times throughout the week.  Warning though...yesterday we were out there for about 3 hours our baby was 100% in the shade the entire time...but got a sunburn on her face from the reflection off the pool water.  It seems to be fading and didn't blister, but just be careful, she was about 15 feet from the water and I didn't even realize she could get a burn from the reflection that far away.

DS is almost 13 weeks. He has been in the pool a handful of times and we leave for a week at the beach in the middle of the month.

We are planning an overnight beach trip at the end of the month.  Both my parents and sister have a pool so I asked the pedi. this past Thursday about both.  He told me no sunscreen until 6 months.  He said both pool and beach are fine but to keep him covered and make sure he's not too hot in the sun or too cold in the water.  We bought a baby rash guard from Buy Buy Baby to wear as well as a hat.  I also invested in a pool tube with a canopy for the water (like this https://www.target.com/p/swimways-baby-spring-float-canopy/-/A-14528334?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=Google_PLA_df&LNM=|14496498&CPNG=Sports&kpid=14496498&LID=PA&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=14496498&gclid=CKmv5KTljrgCFYii4AodvSwAIA)

Our pediatrician okay'd the pool, she just said to rinse him off and lather up with lotion (he has some eczema) after we got out & to watch the water temperature. Ours also said she would rather up go ahead and use sunscreen if we were going to be out in direct sun at all. I found it easiest to have him covered up & I wear a giant hat and hold him under the shade of it.

We been to the beach once. My pedi dr said sun screen is ok as long as its coppertone kids. I also had him under an umbrella. My litle is 9 weeks but we took him at 7 weeks.

My dd is 10 weeks and we have taken her to the beach a handful of times. We live at the beach so it makes it pretty easy. We do bring a pop up tent that is uv ray protected and I bring her pnp for sleeping. When we have beach days they are usually all day. She likes the fresh air and we dipped her toes in the ocean and she loved it!
