Early/Late/Born on due date: I was late. My EDD was July 5th so I was only a few days late.
Length/Weight(if known): I weighed 6lbs 8oz not sure on the length.
Vag/C-Sec: Vag.
Oldest/Youngest/Middle/etc: I'm the oldest. I have a 26 year old sister, then my mom remarried and I have16 year old brother and then my father remarried and I now have an 11 year old sister and a 6 year old sister.
Anything else you want to share about your own birth: My mom said it was awful and she thought she was going to die, sorry mom!

Length/Weightif known: 6lb 8oz, 19in
Vag/CSec: scheduled c section due to moms history of abdominal surgery and endometriosis

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: My mom told me they had to wake her up from a sound sleep to push. She must have been really tired not to feel any contractions or pain.

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: My mom didn't know she was having twins until she was 6 months and complained to her OB that she was running out of room and he needed to figure out what was going on.

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: Umm...I was the biggest baby of the three but grew the slowest (and I'm the smallest now), wore preemie clothes for a long time because I had such a slight frame, and was only 14lbs by the time I was one.

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: like I said I was the good child. My mom didn't even know she was pregnant with twins with my sisters until month 8, this was in 1985. And then they came late and she had a csection. I was right on my due date, mom had a vbac and was out Christmas shopping 2 days later.

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: I was born on a Wednesday and Mother's Day fell on Sunday, May 10th, that year...my mom was pissed because I was late and she wasn't technically a mother yet, lol!

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: My mom had undiagnosed GD when she was pregnant with me, so I was a huge baby. My poor mother, who had opted for a natural birth, pushed medfree for over 3 hours.

Mom couldn't get Epi cause of back issues she told me I caused her lots of pain LOL When I was in labor with DD I was having contraction and was breathing through it. She said, "Do you need your inhaler?" I said, "No I am in labor mom that is contraction" She laughed and didn't believe me!! I think she was expecting a bit of payback because the story goes before they had computer monitors they used ink and her contractions left ink blobs on the top of the strip. And her hair was so knotted up from the tossing of her head she was in shower for hour trying to comb out...she might have been stretching the truth a bit LOL
I miss her and wish she was here for this birth since I have been having so many issues...I can truly say I want my mommy.
It's amazing how much better the technology is now. I never understood how it would take so long to discover twins (she must have been huge for 6 mo!) but I saw her 3 month ultrasound recently and there is only one baby in there
It's cool to hear such a similar story.
I've heard this story so many times. My poor mother.

All natural delivery, no drugs
I was my mother's biggest baby. Not only was I a month late, it was summer, in Texas and my parents were looking for a house. So mom was in and out if the car, in the heat all day for weeks. Plus she thought I was a boy and had gotten used to calling me Jeffrey.
My MIL told me yesterday that when she was getting ready to deliver my BIL, also in TX, she found a scorpion in her bed.
My mom found out she was having twins when she was 7 mos pregnant! CRAZY!
We were early, but only about a week or 2
I weighed 7 lbs 14 ozs and my twin sister was 7 lbs even.. Almost 15 lbs of baby for my poor mom!

The youngest of 4. My mom wanted 3 kids and got hit with twins her last pregnancy. Lucky for her, being I'm her favorite!

That night she headed to the hospital and gave birth less than an hour after arriving. Doc didn't make it in time and my dad just made it back from parking the car for my arrival.

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: Mom said she had me right in the middle of a nurse shift change, so she had nurses from the earlier shift in there waiting to see if I was a boy or a girl, plus the nurses that had just came in - so it was a room full! As soon as I came out I sneezed instead of crying, and I've had bad allergies ever since. I guess I was allergic to the world.

Early/Late/Born on due date: No idea. My mom doesn't remember what my due date was.

Early/Late/Born on due date: 15 days late (!!). My mom said she went to the doctor at 42 weeks and he said it could be another week (no progress). She cried and cried, thinking she would be the only person to never have her baby. Lo and behold, her water broke that night!

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: When talking to my mom about my own birth plans, it was awesome to find out that she had both of us without an epidural, and breastfed when formula feeding was very much in vogue. Go mom!

My dad went and handed out candy to the Peds dept and freaked out a nurse that went into my moms room pale as can be "Dracula was in the elevator!"

Anything else you want to share about your own birth: My mom was in labor for several days over the course of a weekend. My dad went to go play in a tennis tournament a few hours away. He did get back in time for the birth, but I would have been PO'd if I were her.
My grandpa was working in Alaska on the pipeline at the time. They sent him a telegram announcing my birth and he liked to tell the story of how he flew halfway around the world to see me and I was asleep. (Alaska to Indiana) He asked the stewardess for a drink before the flight took off and she told him he had to wait until they were in the air. When he told her he was a new grandpa she came back with several bottles of booze for him.

Mom sneezed me into labor haha. She was at her OB in false labor- he sent her home, she made a quick stop at the bathroom, sneezed so hard she broke her water, then drove home to get my Dad and head to the hospital lol. Also she was in slow labor for about 10 hours, then went from 3-9 in one hour...hoping I can recreate that...and the no tearing thing that'd be nice too.

Good thing, too, since her labour never started on its own. She ended up on pit sometime through the night and had me around lunchtime on Boxing Day.

Length/weight: 6'8oz, not sure about length, though my mom says I was "tall."
Delivery: medfree vag...apparently 36 hours with pit. Sorry, mom!!

Other: my dad just told me that, when they were in LD, he saw that the pit on my mom's IV was turned up way past the highest recommended dose, so he not only turned it down himself, he apparently had some Words with the hospital staff... That said, the fact my mom went med free helped me do the same.

-- This is my first baby and I actually look exactly how my mother looked when she was pregnant. I also have had a pretty smooth pregnancy. My mother predicts that I will deliver early like she did. But we will see, only 3 1/2 weeks left.

Five sevens in all. I got a little 3 paragraph article about it in the local newspaper. My claim to fame, LOL!

omg! I'm pretty sure my mom smoked some too when she was pregnant with me but I was by no means a small baby. What an interesting picture (with sweat and cig, that is).

So, numbers nerd (math teacher) here. I found it interesting how many of us July mamas were born in July. I counted 8 out of about 42 birth stories, which is slightly less than 1/5 of the responses... no where near the 1/12 you would expect if the births were evenly distributed amongst the months.
Are people born in July more likely to have babies in July? Hmm... maybe something to keep my newly-SAHM-mind busy with.
