With our babies due date arriving, a lot of us are having pretty soon or recently had our baby showers. Share with us details about your big day . My shower isplanned for August 4th and we are having an aqua and red mustache bash! I'm so excited, and like that nobody around my area has heard of it before. Sound off ladies!!

I had my first shower a few weekends ago. It was Price Is Right themed. I have another at the end of this month, not sure if they are doing a theme.

We had an elephant theme to go with her nursery. It was pink, yellow, and gray. Centerpieces were pink yellow and gray patterned tissue paper pom poms in mason jars with pink ribbon around them. We had pink and yellow cupcakes with elephant toppers on them. Our games were a Guess the Mess (smell diapers with food in them and guess), plastic babies in ice cubes (when they melted you yell 'My Water Broke!') and then a decorate quilt squares activity.

Mine is scheduled for August 4, and as far as I know there really is no theme, but guests are being asked to bring a book for our LO to help build their library.

My first shower was a co-shower with another friend who is due 5 weeks before me, and the shower was solely for our coworkers. The theme was "they're about to pop!" and they had all sorts of popcorn flavors, a variety of fun soda pop bottles, and other cutesy "pop" labels of food and goodies.

My next shower is going to be focused on the books and building LOs library in addition to being color-themed to match our nursery: coral and navy blue. I'm an English teacher, and my friend who also happens to be an English teacher is throwing the party, so the book theme was a gimme for us!

I love the themes everyone has! They are all great ideas for when I throw a shower for my younger sister when she starts having her own little ones!

I don't have pictures, but my shower thrown by my mom was The Giving Tree themed. That's our nursery theme too. The invitations were amazing giving tree ones. The cake had the cover of the book painted on it. My mom did all the decorations in green and white. It was so pretty, and so perfect. She also made a frothy blue punch that had rubber ducks swimming in it.

My 1st shower is the 20th by my sister and cousin and will be Baby Rocks themed complete with skull and crossbones, guitars and blue and black decorations. The invites are awesome so far! Its my family shower back in Ohio with my family and his family (his family isn't too happy about the theme)

My 2nd shower is here with just friends and will be monster themed like the nursery. Not Monsters Inc or University but it has made finding monster stuff a bit easier with the movie coming out. We are trying to make it more generic little monsters than Disney though.

My first was thrown by my MIL's friends and didn't have a theme- we just had lunch and dessesrt and visited and opened gifts.

Tonight I have my friends shower and we're just going out for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. The only way everyone could come was if we did it on a weeknight and I'm really excited to eat some pasta and have a fun night out with my girls!

My cousins are throwing my local family/family friends shower on July 14th and it's baseball themed. The invitation was SO ADORABLE and I love it because I'm a huge baseball fan

So I have a good combination of events happening! All a bit different, but wonderful in their own right.

I lurked this thread (STM -- no shower for me) and was happy to see you're having a shower! I'm sure you mentioned it before at some point but I don't keep up every day. I had remembered that a while back people were finding out they were having showers and you didn't think you'd be offered one, so yay! Also, seems like a great theme for you. ;-)

Mine is the 27th and it is super hero themed. My sister sent out the cutest invites, and is excited to be planning all the decorations. The baby shower ( which most guest couldn't make cause of a blizzard) had a gummy bear primary color theme, since we called the baby gummy bear.

LOVE the superhero theme! If we weren't team green and LO was a boy (and we weren't dead set on a Harry Potter nursery theme), superheroes would be my 2nd choice!

The friends and family shower is on the 20th and it's a woodland theme (same as the nursery). DH has a work shower that I will be joining him for as well on the 22nd, but I don't think there is a theme for that (other than baby). DH is also have a Dude's & Diapers party that will involve hanging out and watching UFC, so I suppose that theme is "guys". lol I am looking forward to the main shower quite a bit

I already had my work shower which was just a general baby boy theme....they did do the bring a book option though. (they planned it) My main shower is on July 28 but I do not know the theme....just the date.
