Baby Wearing question

I'm wanting to begin wearing my 6 month old more often. She's a big girl for her age, weighing 20 pounds and 27 inches tall.

I'm wondering if anyone has used Heavenly Hold website to purchase or rent a carrier. I'm wanting to rent a carrier for a test run before I make the big purchase.

Have you used the site?  What type of carrier do you recommend? Which fo you think would be best for a baby her size? Any thoughts will help. TY!

Re: Baby Wearing question

  • Woven wraps are the best IMO :) As far as carriers go, I'd avoid an Ergo since she's already 27in. because the body panal is pretty small. Kinderpacks and Tulas are supposed to be great for bigger kiddos!

  • I'm a fan of wraps :)  Though I haven't actually tried any fancy carriers, to be fair.

Skip the Ergo at that size. I enjoyed my ergo but a Tula is much nicer. You can even rent a Tula directly from the Tula website for i think 30 half credited toward a future purchase, so 15 and a 50 deposit to make sure you send it back.

    I love my Tula!

  • I haven't tried that site but you could see if there is a babywearing group in your community. I would recommend the Onya baby carrier, which is perfect for babies and toddlers as it has a nice big panel and really comfortable waist and shoulder padding. My son has always been big for his age and we've loved our Onya.
