CAROLYN23

Hey!  So we are for sureish going to stay our first night of our vacation in NYC.  I am feeling VERY intimidated ahh!

We would like to stay somewhere near central park.  We want to go to the Museum of Natural History, check out central park and go to the FAO Schwarz toy store.  Most likely we won't have time to do much else.  Maybe the Rockafeller.  All of these things are super close to eachother, huge relief.

BUT.  The problem!  Hotels!  I need your advice.  Where should we stay?  Do pretty much all the hotels offer parking?  We are getting a rental car at the airport.

Also, any other landmarks/suggestions close to the stuff I mentioned?  Thanks a bunch girl!

Re: CAROLYN23

  • Thank you so much!

I think we've decided on the hotel.  The Manhattan at Times Square.  I'm about to book it!  It's still really close to the other stuff we want to see and it has valet parking and we are going to request a high rise room.

I don't think we'll have to use public transportation, we'll just walk where ever we need/want to go.

We are just staying one night, it'll be challenging to fit everything in without meltdowns.  The time change will be interesting.   We'll head to the cape the next morning.

Where in NY do you live?

Thanks for all the info on Central park!  We'll walk through it on the way to the museum and back to the toy store so we can stop and see some of those things on the way through, I hope!
